This Sunday, December 24th is the fourth Sunday of Advent and the Church School children will be performing their Christmas program during worship at 11:00 am. Come a bit early for a hymn sing at 10:45 am. Our Candlelight Christmas Eve service will begin at 7:00 pm.
The Search Committee recently sent out a questionnaire, and are asking that completed questionnaires be submitted by this Sunday, December 24th. (For your convenience, the survey was sent out by email, and extra copies are available on the church’s entranceway table.) We would like responses from every member of your family (one survey per family member). This is important in helping us developing an accurate congregational profile. More information and instructions are included with the questionnaire. (If you have any questions or concerns, contact Al Ireland.)
Photo directory updates are available on the church’s entranceway table! If you have a directory, be sure to pick up the new pages to keep your directory up to date. If you’d like to purchase a directory, contact the church office. They’re a great way to get to know our church family, and they’re only $5 each! (If you’d like Karen to place a packet of updated pages in your church mail slot, send her an email, and she’ll do that for you.)
Help us make newcomers and visitors to St. Andrew’s feel more welcome by purchasing (and wearing!) a name tag so they can know us for the friendly Presbyterians that we are. If you haven’t already done so, please pick up a form from the entranceway table, fill it out and drop it in the offering plate. (Note: When you pick up your name tag[s], please be prepared to pay $3 each. Families will receive a reduced rate of $2.50 each. If needed, your cost may be waived.) Please help us with this important ministry of hospitality!
Buy your 2018 wall calendars at St Andrew’s!
- The Youth Group still has some Presbyterian Church in Canada calendars available for sale. Each calendar costs only $10, and all proceeds go towards Canada Youth 2018. Contact Martha Fergusson ASAP to get your calendar.
- Saskatoon Native Circle Ministry’s artists have designed calendars and packages of greetings cards. Calendars are $20 each and greeting cards are $10/pkg. Contact Sharon Nixon or Al Ireland to purchase a calendar and/or cards. Your purchase helps support SNCM and its art program.
The church office will be closed next week, December 26th to 29th. The mail will be checked regularly, so any last minute donations that arrive in the mail will be sure to make it into the bank! Karen will be back in the office on Tuesday, January 2nd.
