Share & Prayer Service: You are invited to attend our next monthly “Share & Prayer Service” on Sunday, February 5th at 9:30 am in the lower hall of the church (use the parking lot side door, and come downstairs to join us). This informal worship service includes singing, prayer, and shared study of the biblical text for the day. It is a great way to build relationships in the Christian community and grow in faith together.
Feeling Blue? Plan to attend the lunch-and-learn about mental health and depression following worship on Sunday, February 5th in the lower hall. Lunch will be provided by the Pastoral Care Committee. Special guest musicians will help us beat the winter blues, and a special dessert will be offered to those dressed in blue.
Canada Youth Service: On Sunday, February 12th our regular 11:00 am worship service will be extra special! Some of our youth and young adults will be leading worship and sharing about their experience in attending the Canada Youth 2016 Conference last summer.
Valentine’s Bake Sale: Support our Youth Group and pick up some sweet treats for your beloved after worship on Sunday, February 12th. Just in time for Valentine’s Day, don’t miss this opportunity to buy some delicious items to make your February 14th a little sweeter.
Annual Financial Meeting: Plan to stay after worship on Sunday, February 26th. The Youth Group are planning a wonderful lunch for us (including pulled pork, coleslaw, fruit kabobs, & lava cake!) All donations received for the lunch will support our Youth Group activities including attending Canada Youth conferences. After lunch, we will have our Annual Financial Meeting to review our finances, approve our 2016 statements, and consider our budget for 2017. Even if finances aren’t your favourite topic, this meeting is important. As we set our budget for 2017, we set our priorities for ministry and mission as we continue to serve God together.
Peter and the Wolfettes Bassoon Quartet will present a concert at St. Andrew’s on Sunday, February 26th at 7:30 pm. The bassoon is known for its distinctive tone colour, wide range, variety of character and agility. Listeners often compare its warm, dark, reedy timbre to that of a male baritone voice. All of this times 4!!! Don’t miss it! Admission is by freewill offering, with all proceeds going to St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church.
