On Sunday May 23rd, we will gather at St. Andrew’s at 11:00 a.m. to celebrate Pentecost (the day on which God poured out the Holy Spirit on the Church). We will also share in a celebration of Holy Communion, recognizing God’s continuing presence and support for us as individuals and as the Church on our journey through life.
We will also mark the Rev. Gwen Ament’s final Sunday as one of our ministers at St. Andrew’s. We will give thanks for her ministry among us and pray for God’s blessing on her journey.
Donna Brown has been circulating a card for everyone to sign for Gwen, and this card will be available in the entranceway of the church on Sunday morning. In addition, you are invited to make a donation to Presbyterian World Service & Development in Gwen’s honour. You may give your donation to Donna Brown, or place it in the offering plate marked as “PWS&D: Gwen.” Gwen will have the opportunity to choose the project or mission to which these gifts will be directed.
Also, there will be a Church Potluck Supper on Sunday, June 13th at 4:30 p.m. in the lower hall to celebrate Gwen’s time among us. Everyone is welcome.
