St. Andrew’s Choir will resume rehearsals on Thursday, September 3rd at 7:15pm. New singers are always welcome. Speak to Gillian Lyons if you are planning to join the choir so that she can prepare enough copies of the music and answer any questions that you may have.
New Choir Conductor! The Session is pleased to announce that we will be trying out a new pilot project from September to December 2015. We have hired Michael Swan to serve as Choir Conductor (4 hours/week), to work with our Music Director Gillian Lyons. We hope that a conductor will provide good support to our Music Director and enhance the choir’s music ministry on Sundays.
Sunday, September 6th will be the first Sunday of regular Church School classes for children age 3 – grade 8. Our Christian Education Coordinator, Martha Fergusson, has many wonderful plans in store for the children with the help of a great team of Church School Teachers.
Women’s Camp will be September 11-13th at Camp Christopher. Registration forms are available at the church and due by August 31st. Carpooling will be arranged for any women who may need a ride to camp. Contact Martha at 306-270-2378 or martha.22@live.com for more information.
The Youth Group (grade 7-12) will resume meeting on Sunday, September 13th at 7:00pm. All youth are encouraged to come out to this first gathering with Youth Leader, Michael Swan, and Rev. Amanda.
Sunday Morning Bible Study will resume on Sunday, September 20th. We meet in the parlour at 9:30 am to discuss and reflect on one of the Bible passages that will be highlighted in worship at 11:00 am. New people are always welcome, and please feel free to join the group occasionally when you are able. Use the parking lot side entrance, and stop by the kitchen for coffee on your way up to the parlour.
The Anniversary Committee is still hoping to receive your family profile to add to our anniversary celebration, October 16-18. The profile form is attached to this email for your reference. The committee is also looking for your help with names and addresses for past St. Andrew’s members and friends that should be invited to our special weekend. Please pass them along to Sheila Coulter (s.coulter@sasktel.net) or the church office so that we can send them an invitation.
