Sunday worship services will continue at St. Andrew’s through the summer at the usual time of 11:00 a.m. Do come and worship with friendly Presbyterians this summer!
Give yourself a little extra time during the summer months as events in the park across the street sometimes add to the traffic and use up some of the street parking. If you get to the corner of 20th Street and Spadina and find a “Road Closed Ahead” sign, don’t hesitate to drive past it and into the church parking lot. If there is an attendant beside the sign, just let them know you’re going to church and they should let you through. Alternatively, feel free to use the underground parking at the Radisson Hotel (access from 20th Street) as there is always plenty of complimentary underground parking for our use on Sunday mornings.
Volunteers are needed during the summer 1) to lead Junior Congregation – Sign up sheet is posted on the bulletin board in the entranceway, 2) to host the fellowship time following worship – Sign up sheet is posted in the lower hall.
The Friday morning Prayer Group will meet at 11 am in the parlour on June 28, July 12 & 26, August 9 & 23. The Prayer Shawl knitting/crocheting Group will meet on Wednesday July 10 & August 14 at 2 pm.
Everyone is welcome to attend Camp Christopher’s Annual Open House on Saturday, July 6. There will be a barbecue at noon and an opportunity to tour the camp and enjoy some camp activities like games, swimming, and canoeing. A worship service, including the commissioning of the 2013 staff will be held at 3 pm.
We will celebrate the Sacrament of Holy Communion on Sunday, July 14. Please plan to join us for this special celebration in our church family.
The Outreach Committee will continue to host Sandwich Making Parties to make sandwiches for the Native Circle Ministry on 20th Street. During the summer there will be Sandwich Making Parties after worship on July 14 & 21 and August 18 & 25. Please feel welcome to join the party!
Women’s Camp for women of all ages will be held September 6-8 at Camp Christopher. Registration forms are available on the entranceway table at the church. Deadline for registrations is August 28th.
