Annual Financial Meeting: Plan to stay after worship this Sunday, March 1st and warm up with a chili lunch served by the Youth Group, followed by St. Andrew’s Annual Financial Meeting. Copies of the financial report for 2014 are available on the entranceway table. There is no charge for the lunch, but donation baskets will be set out to receive your donations to support our youth to attend conferences and special events.
During The Season Of Lent each year, the people of St. Andrew’s are encouraged to collect coins to support the work of Presbyterian World Service and Development. This year, the Stewardship Committee would like to support the efforts of PWS&D’s relief response to flooding in Malawi. PWS&D is working with Mulanje Mission Hospital, local communities and village health workers to rebuild 1,000 latrines in the hardest hit areas. For just $35, a new toilet can be provided – a cement slab and tin roofing, together with locally made bricks will construct a new latrine. Coin-collecting jars are available on the entranceway table, or use a container from home, but remember to bring it back on Easter Sunday. There are also some PWS&D envelopes in the entranceway if you would prefer to write a cheque.
“What Happens When We Pray?” – An evening of study and reflection on Wednesday, March 4th at 7:00 pm. Many of us wonder about the usefulness of prayer. We may have been taught to pray and we may routinely pray in church and in our lives, but what actually happens when we pray? Does it matter that we pray? What difference will prayer make? In this study we’ll look at some of the different views of prayer that Christians hold and a sense of what happens when we pray according to these viewpoints. They can be divided into two main groups: views where prayer is seen to be focused on changes that happen within the individual who prays, and views where prayer is focused on changes that happen with God and affect God’s actions.

World Day Of Prayer is an ecumenical celebration on the theme “Jesus said, ‘Do you know what I have done to you?’” Join the downtown churches at St. John’s Anglican Cathedral on Friday, March 6th at 2:00 pm for a prayer service written by the women of the Bahamas.
Chapel Communion Service: Next Sunday, March 8th there will be a short Communion service following the regular morning worship. This is especially for those who may have missed Communion on February 22nd or for those who would like to participate again. It will be about ten minutes in length.
