This Sunday, December 14, 2008, is a special Sunday of welcoming and celebrating. On this third Sunday of Advent, we will light the candle of joy. And we do, indeed, have many reasons to be joyful.
December 14th is the 50th Anniversary of the Ordination of Ron Bremner to the Ruling Eldership. Can you believe that? Our own Ron Bremner has been serving God and the Church as an elder since 1958! Come and celebrate with us – there will be cake!
On Sunday, we will welcome new members into our church community at St. Andrew’s. Three young women will publicly profess their faith for the first time: Katie Bleakney, Tina Gabruch, and Melissa Marshall.
We will also welcome new members who are transferring to St. Andrew’s from other congregations: Eleanor Berg, Tim Gabruch, Jean Geddes, Fran Gordon, June Harder, Bud Horseman, Elma Horseman, Miriam Peters, Jan Procter, Joan Sande, and Bill Wilson.
